Public All over purdue 90%+ with the line then dropping in the publics favor. Why would they do that? To invite MORE action on purdue. You wouldnt want 90% of public money on one side to increase, conventionally.

Illinois is just a horrendous team, they don't really have anybody that can shoot 3's or from the perimeter with any kind of consistency, and pruitt their key scorer who gets foul a lot, shoots worst than shaq on the free throw line. Purdue is a young and motivated team that still has a job to do, and that's win the big ten championship, something they haven't done in years. Too much upside to pass Purdue up.

Everyone has decent arguments here, but when I saw this line it jumped off the page. And Vegas has been doing this with Illinois all year. It's almost like they haven't watched a single Illini game. They had Michigan St. -1 vs. Illinois the other night. The Spartans won by 8 and didn't even play that well. Illinois can't shoot free throws to save their life. The defense is okay, but if Purdue gets on a run it might be hard for Illinois to catch up. They have had a lot of problems scoring and Purdue as been playing really well lately. The Boilers have a young team but they are starting to gel, and in this spot I still think they feel they have something to prove.

Congrats to anyone on Illinois, especially the ML. I was on the Purdue ML and that result chafes my ass to no end.
Of course I'm still learning to bet on this game, so I'm still making square bets. I shouda known that the shitty parity in the BT would bite me in the ass.

Yeah the book had this one right, but the public bet heavily against illinois when Michigan state showed up to town and beat them by 8 last week, guess the book lost big their huh. And if pruitt didn't get open for that layup as the shot clock was winding down, purdue would of been shooting free throws and covering the game easily.
