Nobody is going to win with Alex smith ... Troy smith should be starting its been clear for a while Alex smith is never going to be anything but a bust. The level of play really isnt close should have never pulled Troy. I like Mike they play hard for him but going with Alex smith was stupid.

however, i think that even with troy smith in there, singletary was not calling plays toward the strength of troy smith, nor was he giving troy smith a chance to do the things down the field that this 49ers team should be doing with all their weapons.


so yes, troy smith was definitely winning more games than alex smith and bringing smith back was absoulteyl clueless but in the end the incompetent coaching would never allow this team to excel.


back to alex smith.. he is f'in retarded and any coach who needed more than an 0-2 start to figure that out is a complete bonehead.

there are MANY reasons singletary should be fired. you could write a novel really. i feel bad for 49ers fans, because i know how they feel being a titans fan. sometiems coaches are so bad that they screw up talent and then try to disperse the blame.

some guys are good head coaches and others are not. singletary likely is not the head coach type...neither is rex ryan but he is in there anyway. ryan is an idiot and not funny at all, throw him a footlong and stick him with the defense. singletary should find a role elsewhere, maybe defensive coordinator. i would want him on my side somewhere for sure.
