Braves had a better pitching staff than the Phillies do now and how many world series did they win? One of them will end up with an injury and the Phils will be stuck with paying 120 million for nothing

Doesn't seem fair to go into the playoffs with 3 # 1 starters and a good #2. How do you beat them in the postseason? I have no idea.

I cant see another team in the NL competing with them. But I still like Boston to win it all if they can stay healthy.

Phillies have a great shot at having the best record, but once the playoffs start anyone can compete.

on paper the phillies look really good... but nothing in baseball is ever a lock because of injuries and the facet that talent is dispersed better so there arn't too many teams that you can face that are a lock to beat.... like i said on paper the phillies can do it but anything could happen.. hopefully they all can stay healthy and face red sox in world series which on paper would be a great series to watch

Will be very tough to compete with this team in a series over even over the regular season cuz of their bats and pitching but like we see every year with them especially .. there will be at least a stretch where they struggle and the public will go up in flames as they will be the higher percentage almost every game

what bats? they couldn't score last season. Howard strikes out every time to the plate and they just traded Werth away. Utley and Rollins couldn't fight their way out of a wet sack last season

Their rotation is nasty obviously but like others have said their bats struggled big time last year and they lost Werth. If they can start hitting consistently and stay healthy they have one hell of a shot.

Actually I think with Lee settled into a contract that is so long and he is not pitching this year for the mega-contract I could see him drop off as far as performance goes. Also take a look at Halladay sure he had some great games but again this guy is mid-30's. Hamels has had some inconsistent years. On paper... they should be the favorite due to the staff, however I think it could start off shaky personally.

I love the Phillies to death but they are still going to lose 60 games this year. Secondly any odds worse than +600 for the WS our going to be off.

lol, there have been better pitching staffs assembled, like the 90s braves, that could only sniff the world series.

one of the 4 will be a bust and be a scapegoat for a lost season.

and the offense. mediocre at best. they were avg. last year and got slightly worse this offseason.

rollins is washed up offensively, everyones hoping he'll return to mvp form but those days are long gone. utley is injury prone and is entering a decline too.
