Theyve looked really good this past month. Although they havent really beat any good teams in their streak they did look good tonight. Amare is playing as good as he ever has and he and Dantoni are great together

Tonight's game against the C's not withstanding, their schedule, to this point, has been cupcake city...

Lets see where they are toward the end of January after they've played all the heavy hitters in the East before we go with the "knicks are back"...

Dude they have been back for the last month....and yes they beat Carmelo just this Sunday. Plus they played Boston down to the wire AT BOSTON in the first week of the season. And they beat the Bulls at Chicago back in early November.

It's been official for a while now.

Yes i agree. The Celts got really lucky to get the win tonight. NY outplayed them the whole game but only for a great last minute the Celts were getting turned over.

NY lost for the same reason they will lose in the playoffs...zero defense

allowed the celtics to shoot 53% from the field and 50% from 3 point range, you can't consistently beat great teams that way

Just want to clear up when i said they were back. i meant back from not being the laughing stock of the league for the last 12 yrs. Probably will go out in first rd. but they are at least respectable now.

amare has been on a tear of late and he ate up glenn davis. wow! i like amare, but he is a 2nd option, not a first. let him make it through a full season in beast mode without an injury and get back to me.

I don't agree with that at all. Amare is clearly a top 5 player on the offensive end of the court

dude is #1 in the league in 4th quarter scoring, why would you NOT want to go to the most clutch player in the league in the 4th quarter?

The next 6 games and all of January will honestly tell us how good this team really is. If they can finish even .500 from the Heat game on into the end of Februray I like our chances at a #5 playoff seed.

What others have said. Knicks are much better than previous years, but they still don't really play D.

If they get Carmelo whenever that will happen and he's paired with Amare, that will be the next (final?) step.

The Knicks right now have made a turn and should be a 6 or 7 come playoff time, but they are still too green to probably get out of the first round. Also Stoudemire has had microfracture surgery and is prone to injury; If he gets injured, their season will die.

Fun team to watch(I live in NY so I can see all their games on TV easy) but not a serious championship contender this year. If they get Anthony to join up next year then they would have a real shot.

Knicks are doing great in the past few games though.

The knicks are def not back. When they were reIevant they pIayed D... I dont see Patrick, WiIIis, Mason, or even Harper stepping thru that tunneI any time soon. Sure They can score, but so did the Dantoni Suns and as far as I can remember they didnt pIay any D nor win any rings. If it was aII about scoring, Suns and Warriors wouId be Dynasties. They wiII fade as the season progresses. Maybe a 6-8 seed but wiII not be reIevant in the PIayoffs at aII....
