The movie is called Black Sunday,,they had it listed as American Psycho another movie.
Does anyone remember the movie American Psycho from 77 where Bruce Dern hatched a conspircay to blow up the Super Bowl at the Orange Bowl with the Goodyear blimp?I have to Google that movie to see if it's on the list of movies that are meant to be serious but with time has become a campy cult comedy.Man that movie was hilarious!
It was so surprising that the NFL,CBS and Good Year not only approved of the movie but were in on helping create it giving every form of assistance possible using the Dallas and Pittsburgh players, play by play crew of Summerala nd Brookshire and the real blimp. That would NOT fly today and there would be a national outcry over it.9-11 has sure changed things.I'm surprised this movie didn't get destroyed like they are doing the blacklisting of Speedy Gonzalez cartoons and Ray Stevens Ahab the Arab song.
If it's on Cinemax again, watch it and see how things have changed in this country. It was better back then!It was so simple and basic.
I hate to admit it,but Pee Wee's Big Adventure was on Cinemax too recently and that movie cracks me up.I thought the spoiled rich kid that was Pee Wee's arch enemy was based on Rush Limbaugh but the movie was made before Rush's appearance on the national scene I believe?Great screen affects for a movie 20 some years ago.Does it make me sound gay that I'm admitting to get a kick out of Pee Wee Herman?hehe!
