Nickster, I knew I would get a rise out of you and I can't argue anything you just said. I think in all honestly, Vancouver is slightly better today as far as the chances of winning the cup but it's a long season. You do have a solid team which I have always liked since I can remember. The roadrunner remains one of my favorite players all time. Steve Shut, Gainey, Dryden, lafleur etc. Too many to name. Anyone but the Leafs I always say.

Montreal is the best city in Canada to visit.

However it is behind both Vancouver and Toronto in best place to live.

I attended McGill for 2 years until transferring back to UBC..and Montreal is absolutely beautiful. But I'd rather live here in Vancouver like you said. It is more expensive but there's no words to describe how nice it is here. But I wouldn't be disappointed with either city. I was lucky to be in french immersion so speaking in french wasn't too bad but I also noticed in the Old Quebec parts where it's hardcore french they're very rude to english speaking people.

Nicky, i bet you've never been here before.. before you judge mtl, i challenge you to come here for 1 week in July/Aug in the midst of summer. it'll blow your mind. the diff between here and chicago, sf, etc.. is that this city is so clean, and so safe too. a beautiful woman can walk on a small street here at 4 am and no one will bother her. try that in Chi Town and she'll get raped or shot for 20$ by a couple of brothers. even the brothers here are nice. they are not threatening like in the U.S. murders and rapes dont exist here in montreal. it's safe as hell.. we get like 1 murder a year here in mtl. it's rare. there ain't 1 city in the U.S. that is safe to walk on at 4 am like montreal..


btw, i'd put Vegas as the best city ahead of your list.

I have been to Montreal, but not in the summer. But you can't judge a city from one visit or one season in the year. I was in Vancouver in the late winter once and I loved it. Maybe it would have been hell in the summer, who knows. But I dig what you're saying about the atmosphere in Montreal, how the chicks are hot and the place is safe. Believe it or not, though, I feel safe in New York at 3:00 a.m. right in the middle of Times Square. Crime is a huge factor in "rating" any city, but it can't be the only one. Crime is everywhere, including Montreal. Whether the crime rate is "20%" or "2%", you are still fukked if you're one of the 2%.

my experienced in montreal when i first went there was pretty gayish, i've been stared upon by homosexuals in the downtown mall and even followed to the washroom.arghhhh I wasnt aware that it was a gay parade week there so lots of homo strolling around the city. In fairness to montreal, i would certainly concur that they have the best night life there comparing it to toronto. I would only love to visit for a vacation but not live.

montreal night life is better than south beach believe it or not.

go to google and type best looking women in the world.. in every top ten on every site, you'll have always buenos aires argentina, copenhagen denmark, and montreal canada on every single list. we range from #8 to #4 worldwide.. stockholm sweden always gets #1 on every list. but mtl always makes the top 8.. it's the only city in north america that makes top 10. no other city in USA/CANADA is ever mentioned except mtl.

i've alwys said, if you come to MTL in the summer during the great weather and the festivals and the beautiful women, i assure you there's a good chance you may never go back home again, and if you do, you'll be so depressed and you'll miss it here, that you'll want to come back again. pam anderson would be below avg in this city, and there's so much to do here in the summer.. and strip joints are the best in North America and anything goes here. you can have your way with them in a booth for 10$.. you can lick em, rub em, whatever you want. and they're 10's..

Summer is unbelievable here.. try it and report back and you'll see i was right.

funny you say this cause i swear to GOD, my long time dream is to be sitting at wrigley field watching a cubs game. i have dreamt this now for 33 yrs. i can't go to the USA because of a bookmaking record, but i grew up watching harry caray with my dad and always told myself that one day i dream of sitting there watching a cubs game. if i ever make it there one day, i will cry like a baby when i take that seat and explode in tears of joy during the 7th inning stretch holding my beer and singing. i still get chills down my spine during the stretch. great memories of me and my dad watching every cubs game together. i'd love to be there just once. i love that place.
