I wonder if they will try to keep it like a Vikings home game blowing that annoying horn after big plays. Lions fans will probably cheer for the Giants, though.

It is not the best decision by the league if you are an Eagles fan. Instead of playing in the hostile Metrodome, most fans will be backing the Giants or just indifferent.

What exactly is the deal for locals? I'm guessing not many are making the trip from minne on one days notice in the cold and snow. Why couldn't they play @ the gophers stadium? Are the Vikings allergic to playing football outdoors?

Fox already had equipment in Detroit for Packers game and Giants didn't have outdoor equipment maybe. I am sure it could have been flown in though.

no giants personnel only brought indoor environment gear with them, so they couldn't play in an outstide stadium.

It would of took over a week to get gopher staduim ready for an NFL game, so the decison was made to play in Detroit. It is a greta deal for lions fans to actually see 2 decent NFC teams, instead of the old shitty lions every week! FBT

They shut the stadium down for winter and it would take a few days to get everything ready again for a football game.
