You won't see the real Patriots again until January 15 or 16, for their 1st playoff game, they will play in quasi-shutdown mode until then against GB, Buffalo and Miami and do the minimum necessary to get #1 seed.

I would disagree with the shut down mode theory for several reasons. This is a very young team Belichick is coaching, he's not going to let these guys play soft to run out the season possibly letting them pick up bad habits. He's teaching this team to go for the jugular and play a full 60 minutes. Hard practice, like hard play, keeps his teams sharp and he's a believer of this theory. He doesn't pack it in like the Colts waiting for the playoffs. Belichick will keep his foot on the gas right through the regular season. I also believe he's sending a message to the rest of the league in these blowout games, playing with the psyche of any rivals. He wants everyone to think they don't even have a shot coming in to play NE and last but not least he's a prick and he thrives in that role. JMO on NE

Yep, starting to look like 2007 again. They are bullying teams into playing scared, trying to eat clock to keep Brady off the field. It doesn't work. Offense not as good as '07, and the defense a lot worse. So they might keep going like this until someone steps up like Phi did in '07 (a team I had +23.5 and the ML on) and punches them in the mouth and decides to attack this soft defense.

Your only chance is to put at least 30 on the board against this team. So instead of this running into 7 and 8 man fronts on first down, go 3 and 4 wide and pick them apart.

The fact that the Pack is 8-5 with 13 guys on IR (6 starters) is a miracle in of itself, but their best D-lineman Jenkins won't be playing in this one. They only gave up 7 points to the Lions but gave up 190 on the ground. Brady has ALL DAY to throw and is the first offense this year to light up the Packers defense. Pat's roll in this one with or without Rodgers.

Absolutely not. This team is not going to shut down for an entire month just because they clinched playoffs. They're still fighting to get their first round bye, and I don't see the Pats (esp. as of late) as a team that just does the "minimum to get by." Belichick will do everything imaginable to run up the score as much as he can, just like he has been.
