    Getting Over a Lose
What do you do after you lose and want to avoid chasing/tilting?

Wake the wife for sex. If she won't wake up, sex is still good.

Wack off, have a beer, get something to eat and go to bed. The second you lose the day's pre-planned wagers, shut the computer off.

Just get away from pc and go out so you do not get the urge to bet, go outside and do something, walk, jog, anything.

Nothing. It's just part of the game. Move onto the next bet.

Betting 2-3% of bankroll also helps.

Good advice, still hard to do. It's like telling a chunky person to do this to get their mind off food, odds are against it. Chased last night and gave back all my winnings from the past week, and I had been doing good. The weird thing is I wasn't chasing losses, I was chasing wins. Money management is a tough cookie to crack.

What you should do: Get away from the computer and tv and go out and do something that gets your mind away from it. Make sure you aren't betting what you don't have.

What many people do: Say "oh all I need to do is hit this and i'm back in it" --and then lose twice as much money as what was initially lost.

If you are making positive expectation bets to begin with then losing a bet should have zero influence on your psychie. You know you are on the right side of every wager you make to begin with so over the long haul you will be a winner so the need to chase is non existent.

Here is what I do......I remember when I had the under on a game just recently which was posted at 139. The two teams combined for 44 first half points......2nd half they score 103 combined.......that enough for me to get away for awhile. Best of luck in what you decide. Losing sucks the life out of you at times.
