oooooooooooooopppsss!!! this is why it is always better to say 'i think' or 'i believe', or such and such 'will keep it close, i think" instead of saying definitive statements, like "XXXX will win". you end up looking really stupid when you make definitive statements

This match was a total waste of time for me. Anyone who watches tennis on a regualar basis and knows the game has to agree that the match was fixed. Total BS. I heard courtside seats were going for 8k. What kind of dumbass would pay that kind of money for an exo? You guys who ate the chalk on Roger must have been really nervous in that 3rd set.

Yeah agreed. By the second set it was totally obvious. When Federer convinced the line judge to give back the point to Sampras, at that point I knew it was fixed.

Yeah really. I watched it for free online. Although quality was not great. With that in mind, obviously, both players were instructed to put "on a good show" for the audience.

Well, he did win. However, point taken/lesson learned. Betting an (fixed) exhibition match that means totally nothing is probably not a good way to make money.

I doubt they will ever play again, people do not want to watch fixed matches.

I enjoyed this match - just to get to see Sampras play again. He's a class- act and one of the best players this game has known. Of course he had no chance to come out in what was basically and "exhibition" match to beat the No. 1 player in the world. Federer isn't just No. 1, he's dominates men 10 years younger than Pete who practice and play daily in competitive matches. It would have been silly to think that Sampras could win this contest - keeping it close was definately for the benefit of the 19,000 at the Garden.
