Boy what a tough loss for us, but at least we've turned the corner, and the rest of the season looks good.

#4I agree the Clippers have been playing well or better lately. At some point with a few more pieces that team will be pretty decent. Clippers could really use at least one perimiter shooter that was a real threat. You Clippers fans are a loyal bunch. I wonder why yall don't pull for the Lake Show. What makes people root for the Clippers and not the Lakers since they are both in the same city?Comment -

#7until they leave LA they will never fukkking win in the NBA. most of it is mental and the fact that the Lakers are there. bring in 200 lottery picks it won't matter. if they have an option leave, if they do and don't leave they are double dumber than they already are. wholy shit people are stupid.Comment -

#12the clippers are going to win games even playing drunk when other teams would rather be playing pocket pool. if they wan't to win playoff games and championships they need to leave LA, period end of the story. they obviously don't care about that and somehow turn a profit in LA. then again then owners probably don't even know about that either.Comment -

#14I watch a lot of Clipper games. They need to somehow find a way to get rid of Eric Gordon. He is brutal and way overrated. He might be the worst ball-handler in the NBA, and I have seen him get stripped of the ball about 10 times in crunchtime situations this year.
If he has an open shot or an open lane, then he can score points. He cannot create his own shot at all. The sad part is that because he puts up over 20 points per game, everyone is starting to call him a great player and even the idiot announcers call him The Closer, and talk about how much his game has improved.
This guy cannot change directions.....he knows which way he is going before every play. He was exposed last night when the Clippers were up 5 with one minute left......with the ball. First he gets stripped and loses the ball......Lakers score. Then he non-chalantly tries to wuss a pass to Blake Griffin that Ron Artest steals. Gordon stared at Griffin the whole time before throwing the ball away. This is when they are up 3 with under a minute left.
At the very end of the game. Kobe scores and the Lakers go up one with 23 seconds left. Clipps can hold for the last shot and either win or lose during the last seconds of the game. Gordon has the ball at the top of the key with about 12 seconds left and just wildly drives down the middle. He then luckily gets a pass off underneath and Deandre Jordon somehow grabs it and dunks it. Clippers up one, but Lakers have the ball with about 10 seconds left. Kobe has the ball with under 4 seconds left at the top of the key and Gordon fouls him. Gordon acts shocked and disgusted at the call. He wasn't trying to foul. Then he realizes that the Clippers still had a foul to give so he gets bailed out and the Lakers get the ball out of bounds. Gordon wasn't trying to foul, even though it was likely the right play.
Lakers inbound the ball with 3 seconds left. Fisher gets it at the top of the key and drives left to the hoop........he floats the ball over everybody at the buzzer, missing two defensive players hands by inches. Clippers lose.
Of course, on the last play, rookie defender Eric Bledsoe has no clue that Fisher is left handed, or else he would have made him drive right or take an in your face jumper for the win, neither of which Fisher is really good at. Fisher, like Gordon, can't really create his shot....he needs to be set, or he needs to drive to hoop knowing in advance where he is going, which naturally he is better doing going to the left.
Typical Clipper bullshit, and I am not even a fan. I have just been watching all of the games because of Blake Griffin, who I called a future Hall of Famer in the first quarter of their first game this year. Blake Griffin is SCARY talented. Unreal explosiveness.Last edited by BewareOf5Dimes; 12-09-10, 05:49 PM.Comment -

#16Buddy, you are a stone cold lock. There is not a scenario in the world where you can lose. They are too dumb at crunch time. They are certainly talented, but all of their starters are under 22 years old. People don't realize how unbelievable that is. Vinny Del Negro is disgraceful, too. I wondered why he got a bad rap in Chicago. He is an absolutely terrible tactician. Wow.
They have lost some games this year that would scramble your brain if you needed them to win. I am a new fan because of Blake Griffin. If they had a guy like Steve Nash who could run the show for a few years they could do damage, but it won't be happening until Eric Gordon leaves and Baron Davis is gone. They are both too undisciplined and are not a good influence on these guys.
It is going to be fun to watch them though. Never bet the Clippers when you expect them to do well. Always bet them in impossible spots, they will generally play to the level of the competition. In the game before the Laker game they were up 16 heading to the 4th quarter at home against Sacramento. Sacramento had the lead about 9 minutes into the 4th. Clipps got lucky and pulled out the win, but stuff like that should never really happen. Maybe once a season with well-coached teams.......all the time with the Clips.Last edited by BewareOf5Dimes; 12-09-10, 06:38 PM.Comment -
