They must really need agents badly because I just saw my first ever CIA commercial while watching Leno.

It's a diversity thing. I met with some recruiters about 6 months ago. It was pretty sad. Apparently if the CIA isn't wholly reflective of the specific demographics of the American population it's a major issue. They are looking for more Americans of Arabic/Persian background which makes sense. If the individuals I spoke with are reflective of the average CIA agent, then, well, let's just say my ammunition stocks will be getting larger as the years progress.

Yeah, I'd say 60% of the reason I didn't apply boiled down to the fact that I didn't want to work with a group of dunces. (The other 40% being that D.C. is a major clusterfuck and the pay sucks.)

They came after me pretty hard, which is less an indication of my talents and more an illustration of how desperate they are to find anybody with half a brain to work there. Just like every other environment, once you start favoring lemmings who fulfill a PC bullshit view of life, all the smart people who know what they're doing pack up and go do something else. Rumor has it that the good CIA operatives moved on to the NSA or went and worked for private security firms. One guy told me that CIA has mostly become obsolete and is really just nothing more than one giant bureaucratic cover for the real shit we're doing. Although I hope this whole wikileaks situation puts to rest all those crackpot theories about the U.S.'s intelligence services being this diabolical entity full of crazy evil people pulling the strings all over the world. I mean if they were smart enough to plan and execute 9/11, certainly they would have been able to take Assange down before he did all the shit he has.
