Im assuming you have not seen the things college kids do with their tuition money. More than half of the people I know end up using a majority of their grants/scholarship money on partying. Rather him blow it on the chance of doubling up rather than blowing on sex, booze and drugs.

I agree that putting your entire bank account on one wager is not a sound idea but wishing he essentially does not succeed in life is a little harsh no?
