Jim Boeheim is very good at many things... and putting his team in a 'favorable' situation is one of them. He (like many coaches) fills up the early schedule with cupcakes so that the team feels good about themselves. He has succeeded since they are 8-0 however they have NOT been playing great ball.

On the other hand you have State. Izzo accepted an invitation to an early season tourney which is going to win this game for them tonight IMO. They have 2 losses - 1 to a very underrated UCONN team and 1 to the #1 team in the Nation in Durham.


Bottom Line: MSU has been challenged and is ready for a tough neutral court matchup. Cuse is NOT battle-tested and will lose their first game tonight. MSU has the athletes to beat the Zone - they just need to hold on to the ball!!

Might play it but don't like two things: 1)Getting beat by 1.5-2 points on live move; 2)Cuse in the GHAADEN is sometimes a tough beat.

Cuse does look weak though. Barely beat 4-3 GT in AC. Barely beat Mich by in AC. 0-3 W&M lost by just 3 @ Cuse.

Yeah... My local has -4. But I may have to take it offshore at 3.5.

I was leaning MSU 1st half because it's in the Garden and Cuse could make a push... but all-in-all I think that MSU is the better team and they should beat the spread.
