7 years is a long time. Cliff Lee deserves a great contract... guy has earned it, but 7 years man... that's pushing it.

Can't see Lee going anywhere but the Yankees. They will just keep throwing money at him until he figures its enough. Should be in the next couple of days

Yankees are setting the hook for Greinke of the Royals, and a few other players. Lee to the Nationals would be a huge mistake if he wants to win.

7 years for a pitcher, ANY pitcher, is just plain stupid from the team's POV...By the time pitcher's get FA eligible, it is NOT a slam dunk that they have 7 quality years left...Wood/Prior/Zito/Santana
