Michigan St. just has a much better roster even though Syracuse is undefeated and ranked higher right now.

Syracuse has looked like garbage so far this year from what I have seen. Aftre I research the game I`ll come back to this thread if I have anything to add. For now I would take Mich St.

I'm on Syracuse, like many teams in the Big East, they do just enough to win. I like them in the dog spot. gl.

I originally was thinking michigan state in this matchup because i figured at worst it would be a pick em, but giving 3 and possibly climbing no thanks

Would much rather have Mich St at the opener of -1....Didn't anticipate it hitting 3.

I'm a huge Syracuse fan, but this team is heavily reliant on getting buckets in the paint. They do not shoot well from the perimeter. They do not have a consistent outside shooting threat which is a huge change under Boeheim. I can't remember the last time they did not have a 3 point assassin. They've got some guys who can make them, but they're not defense stretchers like Rautins was for the last couple of seasons. That's why I think their FG% is so low right now - 43%.

The plus is the Orange have more size this year and rebound better, but I think they will have to win with defense more often this year. I'm staying away and will watch to see how they stack up against a quality team. I think State wins, but it might be close.
