Bad Line Posted. Do you tell
I just noticed a really bad line at 5Dimes. A buddy wanted to me bet it but I did not feel comfortable in doing that. I went on their live chat and alerted them of the error. They offered me a no vig bet which I think is cool of them.

I feel I did the right thing and I am sure they would of caught the line before the game went and canceled others bet anyways. If anyone took a shot at it and now there bet is canceled...well oops

What would you guys do in the situation?

You did the right thing sir.

In fact I reported one with BetJm last baseball season, and they offered me $.

Here is the contents of the reply they sent me:
      Subject: Re: BAD LINE REPORTING

Thanks for the notification. The line has now been updated. Can you provide me with your BetJM account so i can credit your account with the notification bonus?

      Regards,

      Shayla
      Here was my reply:
Thanks for the generous offer, but it's not really necessary at all. I just didn't want all those shot takers too try and take advantage of an honest mistake.

      Regards,

      Dan
I'm sure somebody will slam me for not taking the $25

I won't slam you Dan. I have to call in and talk to the manager to do my no vig bet. I am sitting here right now debating whether i will.

Well I decided to call thinking maybe the bet would have good karma attached to it and win since I alerted them to the line. After being transferred twice I finally got to the manager and he asked me to call him back in 10 minutes and he would take the bet.

I am not going to waste anymore time on the phone with them.

I'd have bet it for the max. And then popped it until they realised and changed the line. Then I'd have phoned up 5dimes and I'd tell them to put me through to Tony. I'd be like "I saw a bad line and I abused the ass off that fukker. You booked the bet, you're going to have to pay me. You can't do a thing - you're not God".

And then I'd turn on a tape recorder to catch his reply.

I called up BetJM immediately after accidentally wagering on the wrong side. They just deleted the bet and said I could redo the bet online. Very cool.

I"ve alerted some D books on bad lines and got a thank you we will look into it. Depending on how bad the line is I may shoot at it. For example last year the whole world had a yankees game at -200 or worse. Royal had the yankees at -170. It never moved for 3 hours. Just before game time I banged it. If the yankees had of been +200 or something I would NOT have gone near it.

Other books often have lines that are a point or so off. I have no trouble betting them.

Yeah I agree with that 20Four7. But this line was ridiculously bad. They had the Liverpool PK line at -107 which is like 600 off. After I alerted them, they changed it to like -725 or something around there. My first instinct was to hammer it cause I didn't think Liverpool had a chance to lose this game. So to get my money back if they tied on this PK line at -107, I felt like it was almost free money. But after a minute I thought better. I like 5Dimes and I would not of wanted them to close my account if they caught this.

I just wished when I called the manager he would of been a little more appreciative and not asked me to have to call him back to get the no vig bet they offered. And no the manager was not the infamous Tony that I have read the stories about heer at SBR. It was a guy named Manny.

I remember during NFL season this year one of the books had Patriots +20 points or something like that....clearly wayyyyyyy wrong. People were saying that if you tried to bet it, the books would cancel your bet and close your account. Not worth it.
