    Sportsbetting.com
I'm relatively new to the world of internet gambling. I opened an account with Sportsbetting.com last month. I was troubled to see that they received a D rating on this site. Has anyone had problems with Sportsbetting.com? Your feedback is appreciated.

There's an earlier thread when someone asked the same question last month:

Sportsbetting was purchased by the company that hosted it, Sportingbet Plc.

During the footbal season, Sportingbet owned books began blatantly stealing from players who were gobbling up all of the avaialable bonus offers and using multiple SBT powered sites. Players did nothing that was not offered or allowed but the book claimed they were guilty of "bonus abuse". SBT confiscated the funds that were above the amount deposited. In many cases this meant the player lost winnings and earned bonus funds from months prior.

Other complaints involved slow-pays, poor CS and the cancellation of winning wagers.

And this place gets the same rating as Royal? I think Royal's D is about right, but the best this group should have is F+.

BTW, welcome to the forum Tchockey.

I should add that it is unlikely a new player like yourself will be cheated. Although the players who were cheated didn't violate any rules, they were targeted because they were advantage players. There is no justification for the we-can-do-what-we-want attitude, but only a small percentage of their users have serious complaints.

            Iset,

We speak with SBT almost daily and in the past month $50,000 has been given back to players who filed complaints with SBR. But, if they don't pick up the pace, their all-time lowest rating will continue to sink.

Gotcha. I took a look at some of the previous issues and I see where you are coming from with this. I guess it's better that you guys make the ratings and not my ignorant ass.

SBR Bill Dozer reports on Sportsbook and SportsBetting

                  02.17.2006 (11:22 PM CST)
SBR Bill Dozer reports: Sportsbook(SBR rating D+) and SportsBetting(SBR rating D+) agree to refund $15,000 in casino losses to bettor. The correction comes one month after the player complained to SBR that his account was hacked and funds were lost in the casino. The sportsbook maintains that the funds were missing due to a "glitch". The balance adjustments will mark the sixth correction of this kind.

I have been with sportbetting.com for several years. Once they were great with payouts; however, now they suck. I have been waiting five weeks for a $3200.00 pay out. I've callled customer service several times and have been told a different excuse each time. Once I was even told that a check was already processed and on the way. Then a few days later, all the funds were back into my betting account. When I called to see what was up, I was told that electronic check was now the only option. It has been two weeks and they still have not processed the EFT. I am really worried. I wrote to an online casino rating magazine to complain and the reply I got told me that a realiable source has told them that the sportsbook is in bankruptcy. The sportsbook denies this and blames the delays on the new U.S. gaming laws. However, I just do not thin it should take five plus weeks to process a pay out period.
