Wow, are players on Ucla being paid money on the side or what?

The game had 1.5 secs left, Ucla up by 8, stanford stands around after their final shot, already conceding the lost to Ucla. Next thing you know, you see darren collison, I think goes running full speed to the other side of the court for a catch and layup. Ucla covers as time expires by 2 on that meaningless play.

So why would they do that? Stat padding, rubbing it in. I mean they're aren't really any good reason for Ucla to put up any more points against a team that has already conceded the win to them, and they aren't dumb enough not know that stanford is not going to get an 8 point play in 1.5 seconds.

This exact same scenario also happened when they played Washington state early in the season, where they covered on a last tenth seconds of play that had no relevant in the final outcome the game. They were up by 7, with like 4 second left in that one. Something shady is going on in UCLA basketball and somebody's getting paid on the side their. You can fool me once, but not twice.

That was the first thing I thought of too when they scored with only 1.5 secs left. Stanford concedes and the idiot runs down the other end of the floor like a madman and lays it in as time expires. Plus didn't help that the game clock stopped for a while during each of the last 3 possessions.

Just quality handicapping by those that had some inside info on collisons desire to make lay ups with under a second left.

Yeah, it almost reminded me of that Christian lataener play when Duke played somebody in the finals, kentucky I think.

i think it was simply because stanford shot it and hit when ucla let up off of d...kinda like a smack in the face after ucla quit playing

Yeah, but they should just be happy that they were fortunate enough to get that phantom foul call at the end, make it to OT, and win a game that should have not won.

Remember guys........these are 20 some yr old kids. They want to win and win by big. Plus they are tryin to go to the next level. Every point on their stat sheet makes them look better. So am I say the game probably wasnt "fixed"....yes....BUT.....

Does this game have collison written all over it? YES! 1st of all, the obvious last second layup.

But where im stumped is the O/U at 128. Both teams avg. 70+ a game. This was a huge game, to win the conference. I guarentee A LOT of vegas people were betting the over. Hell, I would have bet my house if I could.
UCLA scores 18....I REPEAT 18 points in the first half. When the game looks safely going under....the 2nd half (not including OT).......they score 45. Stanford did everything they were supposed to do point wise.
