Probably like 23% out of 100% makes a living.. followin touts is hard sometimes.. sometime good if u have the $$ to gamble..i agree if u hav disicipline u have advantage..i made about 700 in 3 weeks and lost it all slowly and i only had 80 bucks

I have been for the past 2 years. Money manage and have discipline in order to do it. Never bet more than 15% of your bankroll on any 1 play no matter how much you like it. That's how I have been able to do it.

You won't make a living off of betting sports if you follow touts. Do you think they'd be touting and selling plays if THEY were making a living off of betting sports?

It CAN be done, but it's not done by many. I would guess there are an extremely few people who make a living by solely getting their income from betting sports. And those people that do, would not post on some crap message board. They'd be too busy trying to get down on lines and cap games. Btw, I'm not counting poker. Obviously a number of people make a living from playing poker.

I've been doing it for a few years now, but betting on sports IS NOT my sole income. I do it to help pay for rent and bill monthly to free up my main income for savings and vacations and other stuff and it's been great

I think you need to define "living" - when I graduated college and was used to "living" off of $20 per day - hell yea I could make that at the books - but I would say less than 1/10th of 1% actually make a decent living gambling. Decent means you are in the upper 40% of the income bracket in your area - at least that is how I would define it - cause making $100k in San Francisco is a ton different then $100k in Alabama. I admittedly do it just for some fun - up some years - down others - but my biggest winning year was 3% of my total income for the year - and never lost more than 1.5% of my income for the year. I stress enough about that amount - can't imagine if my mortgage was riding on it how I would feel!!
