The pictures you DON'T see are those where one my eyes likes to look in the other direction.

I'm sorry Rage is currently solving German engineering problems that should have been in Germany, but they have to consult the expert.

I don't even think my last posting was coherent. Please forward all boobie pictures to my e-mail and I will review later, or maybe in 15 minutes when I go to lunch.

The Germans are too busy creating new perversions.

My favorite of the 1,170:
"I would rather eat dirt laced with big, fat, wiggly maggots than ever read your column again."
Apparently she didn't agree on my assessment of her favorite Idol contestant. These people are rabid, I think.

Don't they call that feed back.
Do you ever e-mail them back and tell them about how you could care less about their comments?

Believe me, it's worse when they call. I have to put my e-mail and work phone at the end of every column I write, and believe me, these people use them.

Standard response:
Hi (insert jackasses name)!
Thanks for writing! I love getting e-mails and reading what people think about this singing competition. One of the best things about this show is the diverse opinions it produces!
I hope you enjoy the rest of the season and thank you again for reading my column and taking the time to write to me.

When you call is it the same or can they choose a greeting? Press 1 for a pleasant thank you. Press 2 for a apathetic response. Press 3 for a rant even your wife could not top assfez.

If only I could do No. 3 and not get canned!
Usually the phone calls come with the NFL column and those guys are generally nice and just want to talk about games and what I think - one guy calls me every Monday during the season without fail.
the Idol people are usually mad and mean and don't have the guts to call so they e-mail.
I did get this e-mail after the super bowl column I wrote - it was sent to me and my sports editor ... whose response to this guy follows and was the classic smackdown!
Sports Editor,
Now that the NFL season has ended how will the Editors utilize the valuable column inches that have been taken up all season by Nancy Allen trying to predict games straight up? Perhaps she could publish her favorite recipes to enjoy during next seasons games?
I would imagine Nancy is a very nice person, but with the very small size of the Sports Section I can't believe the Editors need "filler".
A suggestion, which I believe would be shared by most readers, is to have her make her weekly picks "against the official point spread". Then readers could compare her results with all the big boys and make for some interesting reading. Please print these comments. Thanks.
Jack A. Calloway
***note: consider them printed ***
Editor's response:
Jack:
Thanks for the suggestion. She certainly didn't need the point spread in accurately picking the Giants straight up to win the Super Bowl. We don't know if any of those "big boys" would have picked the Giants if they didn't have the spread to hide behind.
Thanks,
Bob

I agree with that guy a bit though, SG. You should prolly learn a bit about the point spreads for games. It certainly never hurts, considering money makes the sports world go round.

It's not really about me learning about it, it's up to Big Bob to let me. I asked him about it for next season and he's thinking on it.

I know that you guys are a smaller paper, but it would really make a big difference. Tell him that Bill Simmons from ESPN is constantly talking about the spreads.

Yeah, but a lot the guys don't pick against the spread. I don't know - I even offered to do both. Dave Goldberg at the AP does both - not very well, but he does both.

Picking against the spread is what its all about, unless your picking the underdog i.e. the Super Bowl.

I'm sure you don't line your eyes like she does...it's WAY thicker than the pic here were talking about.
Swede help me out here. Been wondering about this forever but never asked anyone. What is the reason for the eyeliner? To make it look like your eyes are popping out? I always thought it had something to do with making a person look younger but to me i think it makes them look older.
I think it looks ridiculous on blondes.
