Memphis will probably get that honor. It's all gonna depend on these conference tournies mo.

If North Carolina wins at Duke on Saturday, they will probably get it.
In fact, if these teams all win out, national seedings will probably be:
1 - UNC
2 - UCLA (YUCK!)
3 - Tennessee
Personally, I believe Tenn would deserve to be #2.
Let me add that talent wise, Kansas is one of the two best teams in the country, but they will only be a two seed unless UCLA, Tennessee and Memphis all lose a game. Jayhawks have only themselves to blame for that.

I should add that Memphis would be 4 because Tennessee beat them head-to-head and Vols are #1 in RPI, so can't put Tigers ahead of them.

I don't think they could put Memphis ahead of Tennessee if both teams win out because the NCAA Committee loves RPI, and Tennessee is #1 in that. Fact that Vols beat them head-to-head would then clinch it in my mind.
In actuality, does it really matter? The Top 4 national seeds will all have the easiest paths to the Final 4 regardless as the 1s in their region.

And an interesting side note...
Texas pounded Tennessee
Texas won at UCLA
Texas beat Kansas
Should be an intersting tounament. Not a clear cut favorite by any stretch of the imagination.

Agreed, but Texas is in same boat as Kansas in that they lost too many games they should have won. But on any given day, I am sure that the national powers don't want to see Texas on their schedule.

I wouldn't say "best", but I love them too and will probably have them in my Final Four. I actually hope they lose in Big East Tournament, because if they win it, they will become popular bracket play.

tennessee winning the sec wont lock it up becoz the sec is weak this yr in rpi rating and the committee knows that, i think the winner of the acc, or memphis, or ucla
