    Top NBA Commentary Euphemisms!
Without further ado let's get started:

    Euphemism: 'He's raw'

Translation: Can do a 360 between the legs free-throw line dunk but can't make a 5ft jump shot.

    Euphemism: 'He's blue collar'

Translation: Will put up 16 rebounds a night and if lucky score 4 points which is considered a exceptional offensive output.

    Euphemism: 'He's a journey man'

Translation: He's shit and no one wants him or his over-sized contract evident by being on 8 teams in the last 9 years.

    Euphemism: 'He's misunderstood'

Translation: Absolute nutcase guaranteed to get 50 tech fouls in a season.

Euphemism: 'He's got ton of potential'

Translation: Despite putting up 38 ppg 14 rebounds and 7 assists along with a 44 inch vertical in High School he has only been averaging 8 points a game over his 5 years in the NBA.

Euphemism: He's such a banger, such a hard worker.

    Translation: See 'blue collar'

Euphemism 'He's a well respected veteran"

Translation: had a few decent seasons earlier on in his career but for the last 12 years has been thrown around the league by at least 10 teams like a cheap hooker.

    "He's crafty"

He is a good player, but is bringing a knife to a gunfight

"He's is a very cerebral player"

The guy has too many deficient liabilities to really be considered a real player. No athletic ability.

I've heard it, but rarely on game commentary.
Not so much now but back when players were coming are out of high school eg with Amare Stoudemire etc

Wingspan and length and potential. You could be talentless and get drafted high if you possess these three traits.

            How about some WNBA ones?

Euphemism: She's a real physical player

            Translation: Dyke

Euphemism: She's such an offensive threat

            Translation: Dyke

            Euphemism: A great all-round player

            Translation: Dyke

              "thats his shot"

He takes that shot all the time, and misses it more often than he makes it, but keeps thinking its the shot to be taking.

              i.e. Marcus Camby
