why is espn showing college football and basketball instead of NFL and NBA ?

The ASU game that ESPN showed last night was great. Much more important to the teams involved than an early season NBA game.

I don't blame ESPN for not paying a lot for the NBA. I can't imagine TNT is making a lot off it at this point.
