"Feds" got nothing to do with Piratebay. They're (2 guys) in Sweden and were convicted there and sentenced to like 11 months and fined...on appeal on their lesser convictions only were upheld along with the fine of $6.5 million.

The Dept of Homeland Security did recently seize 80 some domain names without any warning or notice here in the U.S. (i.e. the Feds jurisdiction) that are accused of trafficking counterfeit goods and promoting digital piracy.
