    OT: Sharing
I get tons of e-mails being a female NFL columnist, but nothing compared to the phenomenon known as American Idol.
I share with you all a sample of the illiteracy I endure ... and hope this wasn't one of you guys? LOL!

Hi Im from Chicago, and i read your review of last nights Idol.
I agree with you on just about everyone.
Im not a big David Archuleta fan, despite the fact he has the best voice, I see him as another 17 year old, who will be blown out by the PRO's- Michael Johns, Carly Smithson, etc.
He may end up being the MOST popular idol ever, but i can't see him winning this competition.
I call him BOOGER, because to me he looks like one, im tired of the prepubescent girls screaming for him.
I was shocked Alaina Whitaker was eliminated, i thought just possibly she would win this all.
I see Michael Johns as hands doown the best guy, Im rooting for Kady Malloy, but i think unless she knocks it out tonight, she will go home soon. Carly Smithson overall is the best Girl.
Im 51 years old, and know music, and Archuletta simply will not be up to it.
I see Menard and SISSY BOY Danny leaving, he is such an arrogant teenager.
By the Way your Hott. I'll look for further reviews from you.
    Take Care

Sportsgirl people have been spelling hot "hott" for sometime now. Get with the program, Missy! Thank the "Clueless" types for this. It's like the cool way of telling someone they're extra sexy I guess.

                Thanks sweetie

I was sorta talking about the whole e-mail and the "your" instead of "you're" mispelling. But I'll just take the "extra sexy" part from you and move on with my day

I have sort of given up on the spelling/grammar/punctuation errors seen on a daily basis. It annoys the bejesus out of me to see the most simple, basic rules butchered and ignored, stuff that should've been learned in grade school and never sunk in like your/you're and they're/there/their.

Can't help but think about that thread the other day noting Americans were 'interest ignorant.' I'd bet even less understand what a prepositional phrase is, the relationship between a subject and predicate, or how to do the most simple sentence diagram.

As an english challenged person, I must say that there are way too many rules with exceptions. I can deal with the rules thing, but all the exceptions piss me off and make me believe that this language really wasn't thought out correctly. If I had to pick a language that has the best structure, it would have to be arabic language. I hate to say it but them rabs got a better structured language than the people of english speaking countries, at least in print. You don't want to hear it spoken but in print it is much better.

Spell check has kicked my ass.......that is the downfall of this country.....If I had to write an essay on a piece of paper I think I would get 80% of the spelling correct until I shove it into word and get the red marks off of there....

Once at my last waitressing job, a table of three came in...all about 18 (I was 22). It was obvious it was a couple plus Mr. Third Wheel. Sooo...I give them their check...it was $22 and change. They left me $25 and the receipt had this little gem written on it:

I think ur hott! Call me. 555-5555 Marco. (the guy in the white hat)

Wow. 10% tip and you think I'm gonna call you?! Furthmore, was "the guy in the white hat" needed? I mean, there were two dudes at the table. One was sucking face with his chick the whole time and the other was staring at my . I think I could have figured out which one wrote the little love note.

I've given up correcting people on the internet. I know the rules. I'm too lazy to follow them. I don't even spell check anymore. If you want to think I'm stupid, go for it.
