@OP - you put 800 bucks on a poker site and are even after a year? Or you play live games?

its a toss up on which u can make the most at, sports betting or poker. both are good but both are streaky. i'm in a bit of downturn on poker, and a upturn on sports betting. my wires keep getting crossed.
                  lol

gl. on ur games this week.

I dont play online poker i only play live cash games,

i deposited 1500 today into a sportsbook and put 800 into action sportsbetting today and ended up even. That was my comment it had nothing to do with poker

its possible to play even or win money on poker. i win most sessions. about 8 out of ten usually. so i believe him. i've been playing for 5+yrs though. and i study every poker book there is..

a good one i'm reading right now. is Full Tilt's tournament poker stratedgy. get some down and dirty tricks from full tilt poker pros. they actuallly tell u some of there plays and winning ways. nice.

its ezier in vegas where i live. the library has about 300 gambling books. plus we have gambling bookstores here also.

that full til.t book is really good also. cuz i know a lot about poker. but that one i have to reread and reread the chapters cuz the got some gold in them if u understand what is being told to u.

i guess that is what makes them full tilt pros though.

                        gl.

Its not hard if you pratice extreme discipline and can fold your big hands when your beat. What helps me develop my bankroll the most is that the casino i play at has the best promotions imaginable for a poker player. I play 50 hours a month and Get paid $500 bucks by playing graveyard. One of there monthly promotions if if you play 150 hours within a month you get $500 bucks. hours between 12-8am are tripled. Im usually able to make minimum wage as a average playing poker(without the promo) and with this promotion im making out very well.

I play 1-2 and 2-5(whenever thet have it). 5/10 is always offered but 5/10 where i play is like playing 25/50 NL because you can match the chip leader with a rebuy so people will rebuy to 10,000

Pretty incredible about the 5/10 having that rebuy rule, never heard of anything like that. You said you make minimum wage playing, so I figured you played a 1/2 or 1/3 NL game, maybe you make the same at 2/5 but the swings are just bigger? I play 1/2 right now in Tampa, but would like to go to 1/3 once I get a reasonable bankroll. With very sloppy math, I determied I make about 9 bucks an hour at the 1/2 game, but that's only 65 nights of playing total, around 5 hours a session.
