A laptop on Ebay wouldn't sell for crap...considering you can buy a new one right now for $400. You're better off pimping yourself out...sure you may have to rack a few fat chicks...but it's pure profit

Thanks for the laughs (seriously). Yes, for a quick sale i would be selling this laptop for nothing but at least i'd have gambling money.

I did not realize how addicting this is. Well, not at first anyways. I want to quit but when i go broke and can not play i mentally AND physically get sick.

I've tried to man up or am i just being a pansy?

Laptop would net you maybe a couple hundred dollars if it is a recent model. Best advice... give up cold turkey for a month or two and stay away from even the forums. You could also sign up for electronic automatic withdrawls for your bills. Most companies will just take the money out the day you get paid or whatever for your expenses (cc, cable, utils etc). That would prevent you from spending money that you don't technically have to spend in the future.

We have all been down on our luck and the best thing to do is just take steps back.. don't sell possessions. If you absolutely must have quick cash or you will be evicted...you should probably just do a payday loan or something similar... it will get you quick cash but obviously.. you would have to pay it back in 2-3 weeks and add at least 40+ to whatever you borrow. Just my advice.

take a break from betting money if you can not pay your bills. and work on capping games everyday if you are serious about betting. if you can pick winners then come back to it, if not then stay away. you will be broke and in trouble.

Probably not the best advice, but if the course you end up on is continuing to gamble, start betting small as hell and keep it that way, even when your up. You can place wagers online for a couple of bucks if you just need action. It won't make you go broke or rich, but it might keep you steady enough in the head to enjoy your betting without fear of going broke. No one should be betting big unless their assets are big and by big, alot of us shouldn't even be going over $25 a bet. In your case, sounds like you shouldn't go over $5. Good luck lad.

I know there is a lot of people who like to see these kind of topics so they can feel better about themselves. I opened myself up to this possibility when i made this topic on a gambling site so no worries. Just know this: you are not hurting me.

I tried gambling addiction forums but they are all dead or it is about people losing at a casino. I consider sports betting different.

If you're serious, google GA meetings and find one in your area. Go to those and meet some people, maybe they could recommend a treatment center for you or you could just start attending their meetings regularly. Whatever works best for you. i haven't been through it so maybe someone else could recommend a better course of action, but that sounds like a reasonable start to me.

Thank you for confirming that about jjgold. I will look into your advice, thanks. What gets me is i can remember a time before i gambled and was just fine without it. Now i can't live without it and i have no idea how i "lived" without it before. If that makes any sense...

I had a poster pm me last year about killing himself after some bad beats and he told me the thing that kept him from pulling the trigger was that he watched one of jjgold's videos and it made him lighten up. I know you aren't that overboard but he helped that guy by making him laugh. True story. The thing is though, that poster hasn't been on here in months.
