#38lol...puck off....you are wrong, he could have won 100s of tournaments...he could play junior A up to what, maybe 25?...so if you count mini mites up, he could have won 4 a year for 22 years and could be in the hundreds...and like he said, he isn't good enough for the nhl, he could have won mvps on midget AA or AAA teams and gotten to junior A only to not be the most valuable player. I dont understand why you expect to hear about such players. I for one played on a team with ryan holleweg, jermey jackson, brett sterling, but this was when i was a bantam and trust me when i say you have never heard of me, you only will hear about the players who stand out at every level so lets all stop bickering about who did what its childish and pointless to say the least...lets focus on the main topic here...primarily how anaheim is going to stomp all over everyone this year....gigi is on fire just like last year , and we have perry, getzlaf, neidemeyer, selanne, kunitz, pronger (maybe), picked up doug weight, and if anybody messes with our stars, we'll just send pronger or parros after em....rough em up a bit...its over...redwings???i'm more worried about dallas....but it will be handled.... ;-)Comment -

#39I agree with everything but the last few rambling sentences. I started at 4 years old. I was on elite teams all of my career up until current. I played with David Booth, TJ Hensick, Ryan Maki, Andrew Cogliano, Kevin Porter, Matt Hunwick, Sean Collins, not to mention all the elite players I have played against, one that comes to mind just off the top of my head is Tim Gleason of the Hurricanes. As they excelled, I was more of a utility player like Holmstrom of the Wings etc. I was just not fast enough.Originally posted by srhspadedlol...puck off....you are wrong, he could have won 100s of tournaments...he could play junior A up to what, maybe 25?...so if you count mini mites up, he could have won 4 a year for 22 years and could be in the hundreds...and like he said, he isn't good enough for the nhl, he could have won mvps on midget AA or AAA teams and gotten to junior A only to not be the most valuable player. #42OK fair enough. So you still won MVP awards??? That's some pretty decent competition Deuce.Originally posted by DeuceI agree with everything but the last few rambling sentences. #44lol...yep your right i dont know anything about hockey...i only played for 15 years but i'm sure you have me one up on that one so friggin what...as for the age limits of minor hockey...if what your talking of is peewee, bantams, midgets i understand quite well...if your talking juniors your right i dont know the exact age limit cuz i never played...went to college instead...thought being a 5'8" defensemen might be kind of dangerous in juniorsOriginally posted by PuckOffLOL.

#45I would think a 5'8" dman in either college or university would be pretty tough. I know it would be in Canadian University hockey. In fact, I think it would be rare for a 5'8" dman to make any University varsity team here in Canada.Originally posted by srhspadedlol...yep your right i dont know anything about hockey...i only played for 15 years but i'm sure you have me one up on that one so friggin what...as for the age limits of minor hockey...if what your talking of is peewee, bantams, midgets i understand quite well...if your talking juniors your right i dont know the exact age limit cuz i never played...went to college instead...thought being a 5'8" defensemen might be kind of dangerous in juniorsComment -

#46"And if you played Canadian Major Junior then there's no way that you played college hockey."
I'm curious why you say that
Most UofA Golden Bears players are 21-24 and were successful in Major Juniors, but were not drafted..however they enjoy playing the Oilers draft picks each September.. The Oilers rookies lost to the Bears four years in a row in crushing lopsided victories when I went there.
There are oddballs like TJ Fast too, who went Junior A>University of Denver>WHLComment -

#47U.S. College Hockey deems those players who played Canadian Major Junior hockey as violaters of the rule that says collegians can't take money or gifts. Major Junior players are paid a per diem, something like $70 for a road trip. A ridiculously small amount but an amount nonetheless that disqualifies them from playing college hockey.Comment -

#48Cobra sums it up above. Once a player steps on the ice (even for an opening training camp) he is ineligible to play NCAAH for life.Originally posted by Ripsnort"And if you played Canadian Major Junior then there's no way that you played college hockey."
