Looks like a great trap and public bloodbath in the works.

Line was -3 moved to -2..... begging for even more Atlanta money. lol

Two average teams no matter what their records and fans say.

Atlanta has played some close games this year and won by the skin of their teeth that is certain. However, You have to go with Atlanta on the offensive side simply due to the fact of the complete playbook being open. If Tampa loads the box to stop the run that leaves the slant routes and the top of the defense open for the Falcons TE and speedy WR's.
I see this being an even match on Defense. Atlanta can stop the run but is still suspect for the big play. Home field will favor Tampa of course but not as much as one might usually credit as far as handicapping. The noise will travel up in that climate/open air stadium and the delay of games should be limited.
Here comes the chin scratching facts however....
Atlanta is averaging 23 points per game if you take into account every game they have played. The scary face is that in the three away outdoor games they are only averaging 15.33 ppg and they have lost two of them. Pitt and Eagles. Tampa averages 19.42 ppg in outdoor games and has lost 2 out of 7.
If you try to look at the signature wins between the teams you give Atlanta the NO,BLT and Green Bay wins. For Tampa you have St Louis. Tampa has completed the season series with Carolina already with two gimme wins against a team that is on track to be the lowest scoring of all time. Atlanta has not played the Panthers yet but one would assume that would be a formality in chalking up two wins while being close to a double digit favorite.
I feel that until Atlanta falters you would ride the momentum. Tampa is simply a year or two behind in challenging for the division. New Orleans is still the big guy on campus.

Tampa Bay has no chance. The line is low because stupid people are betting Tampa at home. Which leaves us an opportunity to make another Falcons ATS win.

                Two average teams?

Bucs are at best average. Falcons are SOLID team from special teams, defense, and offense.

                                I'm taking Atlanta.

                                Reasons why:

                                1. 0-4 Bucs record against teams with winning records.
                                2. 113-50 The combined score of the Bucs four losses.
                                3. 18-46 Combined record of the six teams the Bucs have beat.

Beat a team with a winning record....before you proclaim yourself the best team in the NFC.

Tampa gets it done. This team played very respectable last week against Baltimore away from home. Atlanta is a great team, but they are overhyped right now and might be vulnerable in this spot.

It's the "divisional home dog" trend. Even if that trend hits 60%, I think this is one of the 40% of lines that end up working out for the visitors.

I don't buy the "Best in the NFL" hype, or even the "Best in the NFC" hype. Hell, the way New Orleans is playing, the Falcons may not even be the best in their division. They are, however, a very good team and much better than the Bucs for reasons others have already pointed out.
Walter forgot... when you're desperate's when you got no choice.

Tampa Bay is winless against teams with winning record. Until they beat a good team, they are a fraud in my eyes.

Yeah Tampa's wins have been against the Bungles, Browns, Rams, Cards, Panthers (twice) and 9ers. Not exactly Super Bowl contenders.

Isn't the first match between them, in Atlanta no less, a better indicator of how to judge the game than their opposition played?
