Courtland Finnegan is the dirtiest player in the NFL. I wish Dre had time to fukk him up.
He sure did a number on him though. Best part is the Texans and Titans play each other again on December 19th

I'm pretty sure fans of any sort would agree Johnson's actions were a hell of a lot more justified than Seymour's yet the same overall punishment was handed out.
OK next time someone upsets you beat the crap out of him and when he presses charges and sues you the judge will be on your side.

justified or not, thug or gentleman, facts remain: he tore someone's helmet off and threw multiple punches at the other guy's head, connecting on more than one.
those actions are, and should be, suspendable.
(but the game is on NFL network)

um he was wrestling with a guy who weights 30 pounds more than him and trying to make the playing field even by taking a.j's helmet off..
had they both started off in a standup position without helmets i guarantee you this would've ended different. courtland finnegan is no p****y

That's exactly what he is. He does that crap because he knows the refs will break it up. He's dirty, just like the Titans. Congrats on having the worst owner in all of sports.

Well then that little man should watch who he picks a fight with next time. The consensus seems to be that it has been a long time coming for this guy. Him having a bad reputation with a history of these incidents and Johnson being the complete opposite. Not suspending Johnson is clearly a statement by the league that they agree with that consensus.
Goddell probably wants to jack Finnegan in the face too!

$100,000 for recording practice. $50,000 for hits. $25,000 for ripping off helmets and throwing punches

For the record he hit him in the side of the head, not the back.

Exactly what I was thinking.
They get fined 25 for purposely fighting. When James Harrison will likely get fined that for his hit on Fitzpatrick Sunday.
Doesn't make sense.

Exactly, agree with all this 100%. Regardless of track record, character, or weather he was instigated or not, he ripped a guys helmet off and swung and punch a guy in the head on the field.
Not only is Andre being somewhat glorified for this, but by not showing that this will not be accepted on the highest level of football it sends a terrible message to young athletes. It says if its concensus that a player is dirty and provoking you then it is acceptable to start a brawl. And yes I understand this is football, but this was not a run of the mill tussel.
And how does it make sense that guys that unintentionally hit a guy helmet to helmet in the midst of game play are getting fined 50-75K to prevent head injury. And then 2 guys that rip each others helmets off after a play and with malicious intent directly punch someone in the back of the head get fined 25K, including a repeat offender. Absurd.

Anyone who hits a guy when he's down is a bitch. It doesn't matter what his background is or who he's fighting or where he hits him, it's a bitch move.
What's he going to do next? Step on some defenseless baby ducks?

A couple punches do a whole lot less damage than a Meriweather helmet-to-head missile.
Fights happen in sports, and the legal system has actually confirmed that (for those of you wondering why charges haven't been pressed).
Walter forgot... when you're desperate's when you got no choice.

Doesn't matter who instigated it. When a guy is down facing down he's defenseless. But you knew that.
Hitting a guy when he's down is being a pussy. Real men wait until he's trying to get up toward you. Then you knock him the fukk out for trying to step to you again.

I was surprised when I saw he only got fined. I thought if you threw a punch you automatically got suspended. Sets a precedent for players to reference in the future. I wish it would of went a little longer. I think Andre would of kicked his ass pretty good.
