I'll give 1 reason as to why SBR would want people to become pros(besides of course the obvious : tracking your betting activity/deposit amounts/payout amounts)

i totally agree they make money off the top....for people who used the link to deposit and become pro. i don't however agree that they track activity/deposits/payouts as it wouldn't behoove sbr in any form or fashion since they don't get a cut on those.

Exactly what I asked...HE doesn't care if they know his name and where he lives. He just doesn't want them to know that he deposited 50 bucks Sunday morning and bet 50 on the Falcons ML. He doesn't think SBR needs to know who he bets on...but he doesn't care if they know his name/whereabouts.

I said that as a joke, because Crusty believes that's what SBR does once you become a pro...SBR is making money when you become a pro. I don't think they give a shit who you bet on, or how much you're depositing weekly.


They make money every time someone becomes a pro. Everytime SBR gets someone to signup thru a link on here, then SBR contacts the book to confirm the amount/deposit SBR receives money. Those books see that people are signing up to their book, because of SBR Forum. So they have no problem paying a pretty penny to stay on those banners at the top of the page. SBR knows that "become a pro" program was a cash cow...delivering 240K to the sponsered books, which I'm sure SBR got a nice chunk of that money, or at least were paid to have the book be one of the select few that were allowed to be deposited to.
