It looks like a 7-4 UCONN tean will probably earn a BCS bid. Sorry, but I could care less about a slightly above average team earning a major bowl bid.

I am rooting for them to lose to South Florida (it is on the road) so West Virginia can go to the BCS bowl game with a 9-3 record.

The BCS must be absolutely dreading UCONN winning The Big East.
The interest and attendance for this game will be a record low.
Both West Virginia and Pitt have a much larger fan base and would bring in thousands and thousands of more fans.
As someone else said, I too hope South Florida beats the Huskies next weekend!

This is a classic example of how much of a joke the BCS is! The Big 10 has 3 teams that are 11-1 and one of them will be left out of the major BCS games while one of these shleps will steal their spot - Its criminal!

The Big Least should lose it's automatic bid if SO many members are as weak as they are now.

haha, easy on the big east, they are having one down year, this is the same conference that Spanked top ranked SEC team Georgia in the Sugar bowl in 2005, and spanked Oklahoma in 2007 with sam bradford. The Pac 10 has had equal down years since 2000. WVU is 4-2 vs. SEC as far back as 2002.
and you have to remember, 2 coaches out of the last 3 BCS bids, left their team right before the bowl game.
still, big east (6-6) has a better BCS bowl record than big ten (10-11), big 12 (7-10), independant, and ACC is 2-10 (.167)
I agree UConn isnt a good rep. for Big East, but sometimes you have that! what if South Carolina beats Auburn, your national championship is either South Carolina and Oregon or TCU and Oregon... the whole system is flawed! Get a Playoff, then automatic bids will mean alot less! until then it is what it is.
