Would each of those players rather tell people they lost to a team that got a BCS Bowl game, or that they beat a team many considered the best in the country?

The only collective should be the team. The uniform that unites the players, each seeking to be the best they can be and contribute everything they have to the success of the team.

but this reasoning is exactly what is so messed up with college football. You have refs pulling this crap too. The refs were never going let arizona beat oregon yesterday. They called every bs penality they could because it looked like arizona might beat them.

UNLV and Nevada (games in Nevada) are the most corrupt games. I'm not saying the game was fixed but if you read the line you knew something was up. The line opened up at 14.5 and the books were daring people to bet them at -14 even though the majority of bets was on Boise St @75%. Nevada is still one hell of football team, I have been telling people that even before there big win vs Cal.
