Iowa really has nothing to play for now. They have had another disappointing season under Ferentz, the most over-rated coach in the Big 10. Iowa is 5-4-1 ATS tis season. Their are much better plays on the board.

Ferentz over-rated?? You have no idea what your talking about.

The only way Iowa season was dissappointing is if you bought into the hype

-OP defense
-great offense
-good special teams

lets recap
-primary kicker injured all year, nothing disclosed, rumor has it, its a medical condition not a hip flexor as previoulsy believed
-the defensive cordinator had his foot amputated... yes amputated. Its gone. You expect your Defensive cordinators staff to pick it up, but it clearly has not been the same defense, or even remotely close.
- special teams disaster, coaching was given to the RB coach, the worst coach on the roster.
- Ferentz has a winning bowl record.

The only knock on him is he hasn't beat OSU.

I like Ferentz. I think the Hawkeyes as a whole are usually over-rated. Although if you go back the last few yrs and add up the points they've lost by, they could be a top 5 team if a few plays went the other way.

iowa didn't do anything against those powerful defenses in the big10 on the road is what worries me - you know, Indiana and Northwestern. the same Indiana defense that Wiscy put up 83pts on Iowa could only get 1 touchdown on.

i'll be rooting for Iowa though...

Iowa will still be playing on new years day with a win vs Minny. But Arob is out, Minny coming off a bye week and win over Illinois, if Iowa gets up by a couple scores Iowa will look to run the clock down.... not even sure about the weather in Minny - have to think it will be pretty cold.

okay so iowa is driving to score... i took minnesota the opening drive plus an onside kick to get up 10-0...they will fizzle and Iowa will coast...

Iowa is overrated. But it doesn't mean Minnesota can perform or win. Honestly, If I lose because they got a TD on an onside kick that shit happens..its part of betting. But I still think I was on the right side.
