#4Maybe try a sports bar. I would think someone in there would know a local. Just look for the guy drinking himself under the table from the bad beats.Comment -

#7used to have one who made over a million doing it, he had an illegal poker establishment and he would take both sides of action and he'd pass any unmatched action on to a second bookie.
took little to no risk on losing any money. he got out though sold the establishment to the co-owner and moved away. dont think hes booking anymore but could be wrong. only risk he had was getting in legal troubles...im so jealous of how much $$$ he madeComment -

#10GOOGLED IT??? Haha, classic. Now that I'm not sure whether or not you're being serious, I'll just give the advice to ask around at the local sports bar and/or any time you see a group of guys really interested in a random game at a sports bar.Comment -

#12Very few locals that make money quit because it is too easy, they get greedy and eventually get caught and lose everything even if not jail fines and legal fees.Comment -

Im sorry but I call bs, all the big time bookies never get caught for booking. It's mostly small time locals who dont know what the **** they are doing but if a bookie is making over a million a year profit, theres no way they are stupid enough to get busted.Comment -

How do you think people bet before offshore sportsbooks. I think its vital to have a local as well as an offshore book because you can find weak lines/ better options. If you find a reputable bookie you should have no problem getting paid each week, if you find a random guy in a bar and start playing with him chances are you'll never see any money.Comment -

#16Just do what I did. Go into a sports bar or dog track and yell "Who here runs an illegal bookkeeping service?" It's the typical mating call of a bettor to a bookie.Comment -

#17Also, be careful, because using the term book keeping, you will sometimes get an accountant who will just try to trick you into investing your money.Originally posted by zuluhead1``1Just do what I did.
