Could be, horseshoe, though it would be strange for the two to be friends because of the age gap and they're not from the same Latin country. They have probably faced each other in the true Southern League. I haven't read exactly what pitch Santana meant to throw, but it was on the first pitch to Gonzalez. Might have just been a lazy fastball trying to hit a specific spot.
