how new orleans is 13th is beyond me. i think that data is not taking crime/per person ratio into consideration...o and by the way chicago is not "unranked" it just didn't have data available at the time to give it a proper ranking

east st. louis mo/ill would be my choice. by the way when cops say it's under investigation, they pay attention for about 25 minutes after the crime and then it's forgotten. it's not like tv (that phony baloney law and order show for example) no cop cares about anything except his detail money and surviving to get fat pension.

Lots of Michael Vicks people littering those crime infested cities. No surprise.

My city is in the top 25, and I find this list hard to believe. I wonder what constitutes "crime" in this study. For example if one city has 5,000 marijuana arrests, the next city has 200 car thieves and the other city has 200 murderers do they quantify it? Some crimes are worse than others. Murder, Rape, armed robbery etc.

Every night on the news you hear about someone getting shot. The usual description is "two black males shoot and kill rival gang member" or something. As long as you stay out of the bad parts of town you are fine. Bad parts of town are North and East Saint Louis.
