Now what if someone started posting the "holy grail" of sports betting on here?
Imagine that it exists for a moment, what would happen? Say someone starts posting a winning formula that creates profit year in and year out for everyone on here?
Would the books still want to advertise here? Or would sbr have to ban that person or send out a hitman to his address?
Im sure that half the people here would still find a way to lose it even if they had access to a winning formula but my point is that there is a real conflict of interest that exists here with sbr and their sponsors that I never really see discussed.
Huh

I believe this figure is based on page hits and advertising fees. SBR should be worth more due to the percentage they get for referrals to sportsbooks. Only the owners of SBR would know how much total annual revenue brings in.

Thousands of posters? NO
But some gold nugget sure. Newbie here (1 week) and I'm reading threads, but so far I found SSK's for NFL, Joe Sharp for NCAABB, Chemey82, Lakerboy etc. Winning all the time, impossible, but all sports yes: here Caracalla

funny thread.
MJ be careful with your inheritance. Keep in mind when we started we just did sportsbook reviews. It was a good niche. Then we developed the live odds site. Look for a niche that you can be great at and that you can at least break even with. That will give you the platform to bolt on more profitable pieces later. For example you may love fantasy but you can't compete with ESPN. Good luck!

I wouldn't sell for 10x's that. What would I do? Plus, my managers and employees are like family and we have a lot of unfinished business.

Not really. If a forumla can be proven to consistantly beat the (current) lines and the linesmakers have access to it (which they would if it was posted publically, obviously), then that forumla will just be incorporated into the way the lines are set. Thus, the opportunity will disappear over time. In fact, this sort of thing has happened over the years and lines (on major sports anyway) have gotten more and more efficient each year.

If I could buy it for $36K, I would just so I could ban clowns like iimold, mathdotclown, monkeywacker, and a few others if I think on it.
...JJ would post more nekkid JJ vids...absolutely classic
