sports betting question

I have a question if anyone can answer it. If I make a bet at an online book for the MAXIMUM allowed-let's say I make a $5000 bet on an NBA game which is that books limit on the game and after my bet they then move the line by half a point.

Am I then allowed to again make a max bet at the NEW LINE on the same team???

Example:

Suns +6 and I bet (5500/5000)
Line is moved to +5.5
Now I bet Suns +5.5 for another (5500/5000)

Isn't that the object of having limits? So they can move the spread? If so, this bet would seem to be kosher.

Yes they do. I have bet a game and came back and rebet it later.

Max bet, they should close the side to you no matter where it moves.

That's how the high rollers can scam the book.
If a high roller bets so much that the line moves, the high roller bets the other side and gets a second wager on the other side, wins double. It's a very old trick.
Personally' I've never seen it done but only heard about it.

Also, from what I've read, if you want to make wagers that go past the maximum, I'd probably call and talk to rep and see if you can get the wager accepted.

Well I called the book and they answered my question....once the line is moved you can then rebet the same side at the new line.

It depends...
Some books allow another bet if the line changes. Some (heritagesports for example) don't.

You can Max bet 5dimes evertime they move the line.

some bookx you can rebet, some you can bet other side only, some you cant bet the game at all
