    MLB Spring Training...
Does anybody know if the MLB cactus and grapefruit leagues (spring training) use national or american league rules?

It depends on the home team. If the home team is NL, then then the pitcher bats. Otherwise, DH plays. HOWEVER, lots of times in spring training the two teams will just agree to use the DH instead of allowing the pitcher to hit. You don't want your starting pitcher getting hit by a pitch by some guy who has no control and will be bagging groceries in two weeks.

A few years ago I saw a spring training game between the Jays and Phillies. Philly was the home team and Halliday was pitching for the Jays (AND batting under NL rules). He got hit by a pitch and there was a bench clearing brawl. Gotta love spring training brawls!
