Can you pick games by studying the line?
In other words do the linemakers give you hints as to the outcome of the game?

For instance say dallas played at utah in december and each team had no serious injuries.. and each team was on rest... and the total was 200. the final score read utah 100 dallas 91.

skip forward now to january and dallas is back in utah and lets assume no trades and no injuries.. once again with both teams on rest, but this time the total is 204.

now on the surface this looks strange b/c the total of 200 proved to high but yet they still raise the total by 4 points???
this may be a suttle hint to take the over. i found one like this the other night and it worked like a charm.

however.. on the other hand i thought the linemakers were giving a hint tonight on kst.. an unraked team favored by 3.5 over the number 5 team in the country.. we can see where that got me.

    thoughts please

every game is independent of one another IMO...k st were favs tonight probably b/c of how tough theyve played at home...theyve proven they could beat top teams at home (kansas) earlier in the year...

Oddsmakers aren't in the business of picking winners. They're in the business of taking your money. If they make one team the favorite, then that usually means that's who they think the public is going to take.
