First of all the game is disgusting. Dirty ball, dirty hands, dirty cups, dirty beer. The beer goes warm as well.

Don't see the appeal to it.

People do still play beer pong/Bierut. It is fun! They probably play it a little more sanitized now though. The last few parties that had it that I went to had each player with thier own glass of beer or preferred beverage, and the cups are full of water. So the ball and hands never contact the liquid you would be injesting. Also the personal beverage cup helps a lot with issues of herpes... which was a big deal on campuses a few years ago, in which the sharing of the same pong cups infected a lot of people

Or, you do just play to get drunk... Getting drunk is all the fun! So I guess the answer to this thread is that "kids" and adults play to get drunk alike, which is fun. for some people it is not, so don't play it. Save it for a special occasion!

drinking games are not an excuse to get drunk they make it even more enjoyable. I am generally not worried about the dirtiness factor of beerpong and think its a fun game to play.
