Pre engineered building so all the pieces came in big sections which were fabricated off site so that definately cut down on the on site workload and 7 cranes on one job site is 3 times what you would normally see but 6 days is still impressive nonetheless.

The contractor got the job on a fixed fee. It doesn't matter if he finishes in 6 days or 60 days. He will still get paid the lump sum fee. By doing it faster he generates more profit. Capitalism is alive and well in China.

Exactly. It makes a big difference when you just have to put it together on site rather then build it. Even the interior walls were pre built panels. Its still impressive. Having everything on site or arrive on site in time. Getting all the interior panels to each of the 15 floors, electrical work and so on.

Doing the landscaping in 6 days would be tough to do.

amazing. i went to china 3 years ago in some city nearby shanghai because my friend's family owns a place there. last summer i went again with my girlfriend. the same city was SOOO different. soo many skyscrapers and malls springing out of no where in the last 3 years.

they are going to have a major problem dealing with that, but as data noted a few hundred thousand lives in exchange for progress is nothing to them

I have been trying to tell people for years that the days of the US being the worlds super power are numbered. My opinion is based on so many of the things we buy being made in China, which led me to consider...When the US was the major producer of goods during and after the industrial revolution, we built the worlds strongest military with our wealth. I saw no reason why China would not do the same. My observation actually has affected how I make decisions in my life, but that is a story for another day! Good Day and Good Luck Men.
