Bragging Rights: Small Money to B$G Bank...
In the history of your sports gambling addiction(s): what's the most amount of money that you've ever made over the shortest period of time starting out with smallest possible bankroll?

My best: $25.00 to $3,200.00 (over two weeks).

100 to 23K in 3 weeks back in September of '04

Started with a 3 team baseball parlay and hit my next 10 wagers in a row.

Took the initial 100 over 23K.

Then had a 2K wager on the Red Sox/Angels OVER 10. They scored 7 in the first 2 innings and it went UNDER. It started going downhill from there.

A very short time later, I lost it all!

I still think about think about that September daily!

        What could have been...

Had 50 left end of 06... played two separate NFL parlays Pit ML and the under (they were 6 point dogs) and NE ML (3 point dogs) and the over... hit both so now had like 300 (wish I'd have made it 4 parter!)

Bet 200 on the Senators to beat someone -1.5 +150 they win 5 - 1 so I get to 500... turn that into 800 with a few more hockey bets

I had bet a future a few months prior Ohio State to win the NCAA Championship +150 for $100 so I said **** it lets do it...

They were -7 as were the Eagles in the playoffs -7 $800 2 team 7 point teaser +100...

        Eagles win...

So I go into that Ohio State game if Ohio State wins I've got $1850....

        Oh well.

I guess the lesson learned is "cash out while you're ahead." I banked my $3,200 in two weeks then lost a third of that amount in two days. I cut my losses quickly and cashed out $1,500. I continued to play out of the remaining balance.

I thinking that streaky winning actually increases your chances of square-time losing (false sense of sports betting excellence). You start to wonder "is the dream of professional gambling actually beginning to come true?" Then you start to make dumb mistakes. You lose and lose again trying to re-establish your winning streak until at last your bankroll is at zero. The bookmaker wins again.
