Its an asphalt sealing company, I didn't sell it for gambling it keeps me back in the game of life. Ill probably use like $500 to gamble. 20k is a fair price I paid nothing. 8k a day but cant work when it rains also can only work for about 4 months a year.

So the person who bought it for $20,000.... They will pay it off in 2.5 days of work? Do I understand that correctly

Depending on the jobs they get and the price my price usually averaged between 50 - 75 cents a square foot. It costs $1200 to fill my slip tank with oil based sealant. Its an easy business I plan on starting up again next spring with all new equipment. And you can get 12000-14000 square feet per tank.

The hardest part of the whole thing is getting the jobs. Asphalt sealing every 4 years does extend the life of your asphalt and laying asphalt is usually around $9-12 a square foot so its just convincing people its a good investment which it is.

Seriously easy money, As long as you don't mind 14 hour days and getting tar on you.

Was it a spot at the monthly Wimberley Arts & Crafts show? I know a lot of people who wouldn't take less than $35K for their 5-year reserved permit there. You might have been screwed in this deal if it was for a 12x12 booth at the Wimberley Arts & Crafts show.

Got ya I was thinking general road maintenance and such. Good luck if you are going into another venture or just trying to keep up the necessities.

I dont think he means he sold the business, just the business equipment. Taking a vacation and starting back up with new equipment next year
Am i correct?

I went thru 6 guys last season that told me they could sell no problem I offered them $250 a job gave them business cards and flyers and said have at it. I think out of the 6 guys I only got 3 jobs. Most of the jobs are referrals they see you working on the neighbors and than they want it done. Keep up with the Jones.
