i doubt the duke loss tonight will keep them out of that #1 seeding at all. although, i think if they don't make it to the finals of the ACC tourney they might not get that #1 seed.

I personally think that FSU gets in, unless they get blown out in the rest of their matchups. This was a big win. 8 conference wins and one over the 14-0 #1 Duke. This will open the eyes of the committee for sure.

looker, an ACC team with 9 wins or more has never missed out the tourney. if they beat miami FL. they should get in there.

I think they are already in with the win over Duke. Or like I said, if they get blown out by Miami and in the ACC Tourney, then they might be back on the bubble.

You're kidding right? Are you saying that if Duke does not get to the ACC championship game that they will not get a 1 seed?

I say no way. They are a lock for a 1 seed unless they lose to UNC and then lose in the 1st round of the ACC tournament. They would get one over Texas and Memphis easily because they've beaten both of those teams. They have one of the toughest schedules with the exception of maybe UCONN of all the potential top seeds.

I have to agree somewhat with Ill on this topic. GW is going to have exactly the same record going into the tournament that Nelson and West had the year they tried to go undefeated. Obviously GW's schedule is weak but if they were undefeated at the moment, they would be ranked number 1 in the nation and they would receive a number 1 seed. If they win out the rest of the way, then they will receive a number 2. It's as simple as that. Strength of schedule becomes a much larger factor when considering who to include in the tournament.

If Puke had played all D3 teams prior to the ACC schedule and had the exact same record they have right now, do you actually think they wouldn't receive a 1 seed? The ACC sucks this year and Puke has been tested by mediocre teams yet their 1 seed is virtually automatic so don't be surprised by seeing GW with a number 2 if they win out.

If GW wins out they will get that 2 seed. They have played solid all season, so what would be the reasoning. The Zags have two more losses than them and they aren't in greatest of conferences, but they will get the 2 seed. It would be hypocritical, so I'm thinking that GW will be a 2.

Yeah, their chances are slim for a #1, and its going to be tough for them to run the table in the ACC Tourney. I think teams found a way to defend JJ ReDick. Because they have had a tough 4-5 game stretch.

Then again, they may just get a #1 seed because of their name.

Plus they won today at Miami, so they should be in.
