This 1960's Batman movie with the full cast of evil doers has been running alot lately.Talk about a funny classic.You have to listen close to all the subtle dry humor inside jokes and such.The bomb scene is hilarious.It's the huge classic time bomb that's about 200 times the size of the toy and it has BOMB printed on it.Everywhere Batman tries to dump it so it blows off harmlessly there are people,ducks,marching bands.etc.etc.Finally he gets rid of it and it blows up and he says,someday you just can't get rid of a bomb.Robbin says,why didn't you let it go off in the sleezy bar.Batman says,even drinkers are people Robin or something to that affect.
They are in the batcopter and it loses power and is fluttering in a spiral where Batman can really barely control it.It crash lands in a foam rubber factory convention in a bed of foam rubber where they are unharmed.Batman says,the odds of this occurring would make the most reckless gambler cringe but,,,I thought I did see the foam rubber pile from the corner of my eye when we were crashing.
The part of the movie you would never get away with making a scene from today was the part about the vilains dehydrating the members of what's meant to be the United Nations.Every chair they were sitting on when they got dehydrated has a pile of colored powder.Depending on the country,if a member was from Africa the powder would be black,India brown,Asia yellow and so on.About 10 different color powders.Can you imagine the politically correct progressives screaming racism about that today?
The show was the standard 2 hours and every other minute there was a disguised humorous inside joke line that maybe you didn't catch if you weren't paying attention.
