Missle launch in California

I saw this on PTI today. I was wondering if anybody might have any information about this or know something more about this.
I thought it was kind of odd that it was on a sports talk T.V. show.

My professor whose class I am in currently as I type this was a former FBI and CIA agent. He says no one at all knows where it came from. Pentagon already released press that it wasn't any of ours. He says it was off of a boat but no word from where it came from.

That's the official government version. However, think of how many commercial aircraft have taken off in that direction in the last 50 years and no one has seen anything like it during that time. The government says certain meterological conditions were just right for it to happen but during the last 50 years those same conditions must have been present with no similar phenomena being seen.

More importantly, I saw Tony Kornheiser talk about it on PTI today and that made me curious to if it was that important.

My son is in San Diego right now, The coast is closed and is covered with military. There are helicopter and large guns pointed off the coast. Sounds like a lot of fuss to be just a jet don't you think??

When airplanes ascent they are not horizontal. And if the camera angle was on the same plane as the airplane ascent it will look like it was shooting straight up.

Has any of you ever seen a missile launched? It's rocket fuel trail moves 10 times faster than what you saw on the video.

A great story from one of my old military intelligence buddies....... back during the Y2K rollover, and fears of computer meltdowns, Russia and the US agreed to be in constant communication with each other to ensure that no defense system meltdowns would lead to accidental missile launches. So NORAD, and the Russian equivalent of NORAD are monitoring things when a couple of hours before midnight Moscow time, a launch of a small missle in South Central Russia sets off all types of alarms. Some tense moments ensue, and NORAD asks Russia, "What the hell is going on?" and the Russians reply "Oh, sorry about that -- we were just retaliating against some Chechnian rebels in the hills, and we forgot to let you know. Please disregard."

Most missiles are 10 times faster like you say. They also usually have a flame coming out the ass end and this object did not.

However, you never know what the black ops are coming up with at Area 51 and Edwards. They could have some kind of missile that goes up slower and doesn't use a propellant that has a flame. They could use some other propellant.
