To all you successful college students out there - I admire you guys
I had to take some very rigid tests on Monday for my work. I had to study very hard for them - I forgot how difficult that can be and I was ready ready to shart my pants awaiting my scores. I full respect what you have to go through on a regular basis.

Salud boys, it ain't easy - keep at it. Bets will always be around but mang hang in there and get that piece of paper.

Well thank you.... But college is for the birds unless you learn a skill. To many diplomas running around these days. Just another tool for the government to hide true unemployment rates

true, people are so stupid to think that a degree will get them anywhere. u only get somewhere if you get a degree in science or business (and even that u'll need connections), anything else you'll be working with high school dropouts.

i hate people's mentality, especially in my family, they believe that everyone who has a degree makes 100k/yr and everyone who doesn't is living in poverty. even talking about this makes me sick.

I'm not saying it gives you a career, especially in these volitile economic times. It definitely still opens up a ton of options though.

Yes because High School drop outs are teachers, journalists or nurses...

Stay in school or be destined to a life of selling drugs or gambling............granted these are two ways to make money, buy you will not be as respected by the majority of your family.

I go to UMass Amherst and am an economics major. From what I've seen unless you pursue grad school you need a diploma in a competitive field such as business related stuff or any form of engineering to have a good shot at getting a good job right after college. And even with a degree in these fields it helps to have a lot of connections because in all seriousness thats how the majority of people get good positions.

college is great, the exams suck but the rest of the experience more than makes up for any of the schoolwork pains.

Half the classes you take in college you won't need anyways. I think its kinda pointless to require 123 credits to graduate or whatever it is.

Very true, but as an engineering student you need more than just a diploma. You are more valuable to employers if you can get your P.E. or at the very least E.I.T license.
